Indian Rocks Beach Florida.....this coastal village located on the Gulf of Mexico is steeped in history. Visit Indian Rocks Beach Historical Museum for more information.
Visited by the Tocobaga Indians in the 1500's, it took American settlers more than 300 years to discover this bit of paradise. In the late 1800s, the Hendrick/Hamlin families homesteaded this barrier island and in 1914 the Tampa & Gulf Coast Railroad built a spur from "the big city" to the beach. The population of Indian Rocks Beach started growing and thus, the start of the perfect vacation destination.
Gulfside Resorts and Sarah's Seaside Cottages are a big part of Indian Rocks Beach history. With cottages dating back to 1910, we offer our guests modern, upscale accommodations with an ambiance reminiscent of a by-gone era, a less hurried time. From the beginning, the innkeepers of Indian Rocks Beach offered guests a place to relax and enjoy all that this area has to offer.
